A refreshed brand and new website to get people dancing
Move Studios are a rapidly growing dance centre in Edmonton, Alberta. Their classes are varied, fun and friendly but their brand and website didn’t reflect this. They contracted Zipnet, an Edmonton-based marketing agency, to overhaul their image.
Zipnet, a long-time collaborator, partnered with me to lead the redesign. First I refreshed their brand to be more bold, exciting and fun. I tweaked their logo and established new brand values around fun, inclusiveness and quality instruction.
Next we worked on the website. Move’s old website was dull, dry and uninspiring. It didn’t tell anyone what was going on at Move. The new site is a hive of activity, with content constantly changing to give a snapshot of this busy dance studio: upcoming classes, latest news, featured videos.
Visitors can view all classes and filter by discipline, date and location. All class descriptions are designed to make customers feel comfortable and welcome: they see the skill level, class prerequisites, photos of class members and a profile of their instructor. Customers can quickly book and pay for classes online, which has saved Move countless hours of phone calls and chasing paperwork.
